Laurie's commercial real estate experienced literally started from the ground up: co-owning a small business that provided land planning for developers and developed software for land surveying, civil engineering, and geographic information systems. After 13 years, she sold her share of the business. Laurie then became a real estate broker and land developer with Land For Sale, Inc, “I Sell Dirt, Not Promises.” Laurie has sold $66+ million worth of Minnesota land.

In 2006, Laurie obtained her appraisal license. Her valuation services have been focused on litigation, primarily Minnesota property tax appeals from Rochester to Brainerd.  Laurie has successfully challenged more than $1 billion worth of Minnesota assessed values.  She has written appraisals for property tax appeals, estate tax returns, conservatorships, purchase options, and divorces. Laurie's thirst for data has resulted in solid commercial appraisals that are easy to read and understand.
